The Situation
In 1998, the facilities manager for the Young America Fulfillment Center
was looking for a cleaning service for nightly restroom cleaning.
Soon after a contract was awarded to Pro-Clean, the facilities manager
approached Pro-Clean about a post-construction clean-up project.
Pro-Clean performed well on the clean-up project. The cleaning
needs at the Young America Fulfillment Center continued to grow
especially for on-call, evening, and weekend cleaning for high use areas
utilized to host events and client visits at the Young America
facility. Pro-Clean employees were being consistently asked to
provide on-call cleaning.
The Pro-Clean Solution -
A Single Source for Cleaning
The facilities manager for the Young America Fulfillment Center
determined that it made sense to contract with a single cleaning
provider to eliminate the headaches caused by coordinating multiple cleaning vendors. Pro-Clean placed (and won) a
competitive bid on a inclusive contract for the 50,000 square foot
facility that included cleaning for carpets, windows, and floor surfaces
for the call center office area, executive offices, conference rooms,
restrooms, and distribution warehouse. The contract also included
24-hour on-call cleaning for high use areas and the sale of cleaning
supplies to the Fulfillment Center's daytime cleaning staff.

services, the relationship grew from bathroom cleaning to a dedicated
5-person staff from Pro-Clean that provides almost 100% of the
Young America Fulfillment Center's routine and on-call cleaning.
